The overall impact to the graphics and multi-media community for bugs like this one is huge. :) My shortlist of printers for my slow-moving project was the Epson SureColor 3800/3880 and the Canon Pixma Pro-100. Please look into software dev/ops processes, specifically testing with Photoshop, Lightroom, Topaz Labs, Nik Software, Alien Skin, etc. There are a lot of customers with similar problems. Hopefully someone from Apple corporate is reading this. Very frustrating and a time suck!!!Īny assistance will be greatly appreciated. Fortunately, I had an extended warranty with Epson and received a replacement printer. This, combined with an advanced MicroPiezo AMC print head, enables the Pro 3880 to produce gallery-quality color and black-and-white output up to 17' x 22'. Engineered for the discriminating professional, this compact, 17'-wide printer includes Epson UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta Ink Technology, world-renowned for professional printing applications. I had one for four years before the print head failed. With the Epson Stylus Pro 3880, uncompromising quality is within reach. It rarely clogs, and when it does, one or two cleaning cycles takes care of the issue. □ Hours of wasted time attempting to fix something that wasn't broken before the last "update". The Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer is exceptional compared to previous models. It's been two days now and I've run out of self-help options, but I am ready to let Apple OS developers know what I personally think of their last update.
I've tried resetting the printers under system preferences several times, downloading new drivers from Epson (v9.33), renaming the old printer folder under the library directory. I get a "Failed Filter" error message when I attempt to print. Ever since the last OS X 10.11.3 (15D21) I've been unable to get my MAC to communicate with the Epson printer. I have an Epson 3880 Stylus Pro I use for printing photos.
